Maratac Pocket Grappling Hook

$76.00

The pocket grappling hook was originally built by EOD Robotics, Inc. at the request of a desert warfare operator. He explained his need for a light weight, reusable grappling hook.

Grappling hooks are used by soldiers in warfare to snag trip wires and tear down phone lines. While you may not be walking through a minefield anytime soon, you can easily pull down loose tree limbs and other hard-to-reach objects with a handy, collapsible grappling hook.

Built to endure through serious field use, the Grappling Hooks feature T6061 aluminum capsules and stainless steel spikes. For safe and secure transportation, the spikes unscrew and fit easily into the O-ring sealed storage compartment. Once the hook is assembled and you run 550 or smaller cord through the attachment point, fling it up into a tree to catch a dangerous widowmaker, pull hard to reach bags down from the top shelf, or hang up Christmas decorations by stringing lights through your cord.

NOTE:  These hooks will not support your body weight and should not be used for climbing or other self-hoisting applications.
