Thank you for shopping with Canadian Preparedness. We value your satisfaction and aim to provide clear and fair policies regarding order cancellations, returns, and refunds. Please review the details below.

Return Policy

We want you to love your new gear! However, if you need to make a return, we’re here to help.

  • Eligibility: Items can be returned within 30 days of the shipping date. Items must be unused, in the original packaging, and in the same condition you received them.

  • Non-Returnable Items: Certain items are not eligible for return. These include:

    • Gift cards
    • Downloadable software products
    • Books or magazines
    • Certain medical, health, and personal care items
    • Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gas masks, filters, and hazmat suits, which are non-refundable for safety reasons.

    Please do not return items directly to the manufacturer unless we direct you to do so.

  • Partial Refunds: Some items may only be eligible for partial refunds, which will be assessed at our discretion.

  • Return Shipping: Unless the return is due to a defect or an error on our part, customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

For international returns, please label the package as "RETURN." If your item is valued over $75, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee receipt of returned items.

Refunds

  • Original Shipping Costs: For orders with free shipping, the original shipping cost will be deducted from the refund amount unless the return is due to a defective or incorrect item.
  • Refund Eligibility: Only regularly priced items are eligible for a refund; sale items are non-refundable.

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we’ll notify you via email of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, a credit will automatically be applied to your original payment method. Please allow for processing time with your bank or credit card company.

  2. Contact your credit card company, as processing times vary.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation Fee: For orders over $200, a 2.9% cancellation fee applies. This fee reflects non-refundable transaction fees (2.9% + $0.30 per transaction) charged by Shopify for cancellations.

Exchanges

If an item arrives defective or damaged, we are happy to exchange it for the same item. Please email us at info@canadianpreparedness.com to start the process and send your item to the address provided above.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift at the time of purchase and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of the return. Once we receive the returned item, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift or the gift giver shipped it to themselves to give to you later, the refund will be issued to the gift giver, who will be notified of the return.
