Did you know?

Orzo is the Italian word for «barley», also known as risoni for «big rice» or Italian rice.

Orzo is a type of pasta shaped like a large grain of rice. It was once made from barley, but today’s orzo is made of wheat semolina.

This versatile pasta can be found in the pasta section of your grocery store. It is often confused with risotto, but there is no relation whatsoever. This tiny pasta adds a delicious twist to soups and many other dishes.
